There are many misconceptions of what will make you healthy. Others are known to be unhealthy, yet is continued to be consumed but as the rule goes anything in excess is bad as well as the lack of it.

Vitamins have been considered as healthy. Taking them daily may suffice the need of your body that lacks from the food you eat. But not all vitamins are safe and can be taken on a regular basis and in large amounts.

Vitamins that are considered as water soluble or those vitamins that dissolve in water and are easily excreted to the body  and can be taken in large amounts. It pays no toll on the liver and the kidney. These vitamins includes B complex namely B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12, other water soluble vitamin includes Vitamin C. Even with this nature this type of vitamins bring forth illness if taken in overly excessive amounts. Vitamin C may cause diarrhea, nausea, cramps, formation of excessive oxalic acid in the body, acidification of the urine, interference in the use of therapeutic drugs and intestinal obstruction while vitamin B complex in overdose level can cause skin burning, itching, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, eye damage and allergic shock.

The type of vitamin that one should be careful in consuming are fat soluble vitamins this vitamin are easily absorbed in the body yet are not excreted as efficiently as water soluble vitamins. They can be easily remembered using the acronym ADEK which represents Vitamin A, D, E and K toxicity from all of which may result to liver damage, specifically, toxicity from Vit. A may lead to hair loss, bone damage, potential brain defects and heart damage. Excessive vitamin D in the body may result to brain damage and heart damage while vitamin E may lead into cramps diarrhea, dizziness, and blurred vision headaches and lastly, the toxicity from vitamin K can cause blood clogging the blood vessels and yellowish discoloration of the skin in infants.

We greatly know that these are essential for the body; in minute quantities they greatly play a great role in different complex metabolic reactions inside the human body and a must in the diet. The lack of it shall also lead into illnesses but that is not a reason to take them excessively just to make sure better consult your nearest doctor for the right prescription of your daily doses of vitamins.
